ViewSonic N2750w 27-Inch NextVision HD-Ready Flat-Panel LCD TV, Black, is made by View Sonic. The list price is around US$899.99.
This is a follow-up to my previous review: The picture died on me a month ago (Aug 07). It has something to do with the tv tuner. The LCD display and backlights are still great, but the TV tuner, which was always very very weak (bad signal and popping sounds), finally just died. I called Viewsonic several times in the year that I owned it, but they said it was normal, or sent me off on some bogus diagnostic goose chase. Two months after the 1 year warranty was over it died. DRATS!!! VIEWSONIC, YOU'VE FOILED ME THIS TIME. HOPE YOU HAD A GREAT PARTY WITH MY MONEY. I found a Samsung 32" as a replacement; out-of-box so I got it real cheap, and I spent the money for a three year warranty through the store! I love mail order, but sometimes you can really get screwed.
----------------- The TV picture isn't as good as a tube (no suprise!), but the dvd picture as great! Remote is ok, and the features are easy enough to find, but I can't find remote codes for a universal. I used a c...

Sony KDF-60XS955 60-Inch HD-Ready LCD Projection Television, is made by Sony. The list price is around US$4399.99.
I sold my old Sony 53 HDTV and I got this one. After three month I can say: It's an awesome TV. I hooked it up with a simple off-air antenna connected to the integrated HDTV tuner and off here we go. CBS, ABC, Fox, all in HDTV (for free of course). The TV has eight, yes eight, Video connections. Two of them are component. The sound is great. Excellent bass and surround sound. I'm thinking of getting rid of my surround system to save space in my living room. I buy a new TV every 2-3 years and I tell you won't be disappionted by buying this one.

Syntax Olevia LT30HV 30-Inch HD-Ready Flat-Panel LCD TV, is made by Syntax Groups Corporation. The list price is around US$2299.00.
To be honest, I don't have this exact product. I have it's 'twin', the Syntax Kolin DLT-2711M. A few weeks shy of two years of ownership, the television died, for lack of a better word. At that point, the power off LED would not be lit but the television would not be on and I could not turn it on. Unplugging the television for a time served as a temporary fix, but now the tv is out completely. My suspicion is that it's a bad power supply (while it didn't solve the problem, I noticed upon inspection that the AC socket 'legs' had broken from the PS and needed to be re-soldered). I've noticed other reviews with a similar problem - the blue/black screen of death. A Yahoo group devoted to Syntax LCDs has solved that problem if you're interested. While not the same issue I have, they both stem from cheap construction - substandard components and shoddy manufacturing. That being said, the television performed adequately while it worked and was rather inexpensive. In fact, Syntax-Brillian has c...

Sharp Aquos LC-45GD4U 45-Inch HD-Ready Flat-Panel LCD TV, is made by Sharp. The list price is around US$8499.99.
The 45" Sharp LC-45GD4U is a spectacular LCD HDTV monitor, with superb picture quality that stands up to anything currently on the market. Unfortunately, despite being one of the first 1920x1080 displays, it's not as obsolescence proof as you might think as it doesn't support 1080p resolution at this time without major workarounds. In English, this means that next-generation DVDs won't be displayed in maximum resolution and some HTPCs will have problems. Still, this is a marvelous HDTV; its just that if you're paying this much for it you shouldn't compromise at all - meaning I mark it down 1 star - and the one-year warranty is skimpy enough to take another half-star off. If you want better protection against obsolescence, look at the LC-45GX6U, which has an easier 1080p workaround.
LCDs and plasma each have their own camps; plasma offers better blacks and brighter pictures, where LCDs are easier to break in, have longer lives with a fairly simple repair, and don't wash out in the sunlight. ...

Samsung LTP227W 22-Inch HD-Ready Flat-Panel LCD TV, is made by Samsung. The list price is around US$1899.99.
I bought this after shopping for a PC monitor/DVD viewer and this is it's main purpose for me. Side by side comparison showed the picture as being noticeably richer looking than other similar brands with the same source being played. It seems to be the best value in it's size range for a widescreen, and is available online for considerably less than retail. Excellent picture with DVD playback. Analog OTA picture is O.K. but not as good as similar size CRT. Remote and menu is easy to learn and use. The only surprise I had was that the monitor resolution of 1024 x 720 prevents some PC programs that require a minimum monitor resolution of 1024 x 768 to work properly with this monitor because it will recognize it as an 800 x 600 monitor at best. Also when using the DVI input for PC, the PC resolution will be locked at 800 x 600. If you use the PC's analog monitor out and an adapter cable to the monitors DVI input, the resolution can be changed in the PC and as shown on the monitor, but it will still be recogni...

Panasonic TC-32LX50 32-Inch Flat Panel LCD TV, is made by Panasonic.
I just recently purchased this TV and upgraded to the HD receiver from my cable company and I am blown away by the picture quality this TV. Even standard cable looks good as long as you are at least 2 feet away from the screen. The sound I assume is good, but I run everything though my Panasonic home theatre. This TV is easy to set up I like how Panasonic puts the speaker at the bottom instead the sides. Overall great buy for the price!

Syntax Olevia LT32HV 32-Inch Widescreen HD-Ready LCD TV, is made by Syntax Groups Corporation. The list price is around US$2299.99.
I purchased an Olevia Syntax 32HVE last July 2005 on impulse. It was very inexpensive for the size and I knew could take it back if I was not satisfied. The picture quality has been outstanding from the start. No dead pixels. Suprisingly good audio and reasonably well thought-out features. When I finally set up HD using HDMI connections, it really shined! The picture is often breathtaking.
Today I connected my PC to it and it works well. I can criticize some of the limitations in PIP combinations and I really wish it had a separate audio input for VGA and HDMI, but I doubt the LCDs twice this price have all this TV's features.
One surprising thing about this TV. Almost everyone that sees it insists its 40" or larger when in fact it is a 32" model.
We have since purchased a second LT32HV in the family and are very pleased with the value for the money on both.

Sony WEGA KLV-S23A10 23-Inch LCD HD-Ready Flat Panel TV, is made by Sony. The list price is around US$1199.99.
This is the first posting I've had on Amazon. So, this shows my satisfaction with the product. I purchased this LCD for our bedroom as a replacement for a broken CRT television. Shopping around, it was hard to find a better value. For the price point, you either have to jump up quite a bit to get a better quality/larger screen. Or, you go way down in quality and size. So, if you're looking to limit your purchase to under $1000, I think this is the best value! The prices out there are under $1000 for this TV because the market is pushing some of the newer models with better technology.
The quality on this set is better than all the ones I've compared. The only caveat for you is to make sure you have the right cables/splitters, etc when installing it. Try to find that out before you buy any of the newer TVs. Best of luck with your decision!

Sony KLV-32M1 32-Inch Widescreen Flat Panel LCD Television, Silver, is made by Sony. The list price is around US$3999.99.
This 32" LCD by Sony is more expensive, but after comparing picture quality side by side with other LCD TV's, I decided to stay with a quality Sony product. This TV is rated #1 by Consumer Reports. I have DirectTV and using regular co-axial connection. The picture quality is excellent and I'm wondering if I need to upgrade to a DirecTV HD system. I plan to upgrade soon to get the full benefits of what this TV is capable of. Hook up was well documented for AV system, DVD player and VCR, when you read the directions. Remote is confusing at first. Watching movies from DVD player is great. Over all a great product.

Samsung LN-R328W 32-Inch Widescreen HDTV-Ready Flat-Panel LCD TV, is made by Samsung. The list price is around US$1999.99.
I bought this TV way back in Dec 05 and 9 months on it still working great. When I first got the TV out of the box the picture wasnt very good, but after playing around the picture control for a while I finaly got the TV looking great(Well great for me any way) HD of course looks the best on this TV and yeah DVD's look great too.Right now I have a Blu-Ray player and a HD DVD player hooked to it and the picture is awsome, cant wait to check out Superman Returns in High Def!Make sure if you get a Blu-Ray player or a HD DVD player to set the player to 1080i for best picture. My only gripe with the TV as I do have one dead pixel on the screen, but you have to be looking for it to see it.Well anyway this is a very nice TV and I give it 2 thumbs up.
