Fossil Wrist Net Smart Watch for MSN Direct (FX3005), was released on 2004-12-01 from Fossil. The list price is around US$199.99.
I just got the Fossil smart watch and I like it a great deal.
I got mine from the shop@homenetwork and it was $59.00, it's the cheapest place I could it and they were in stock as of 12/10/05.
I love having the internet on my wrist and the time displayed in such fun ways, even when your at work and the time seems to drag so slow,it's nice to kill a few minutes playing with your watch and reading the latest headlines and stock quotes.

Fossil Wrist Net Smart Watch for MSN Direct (FX3001) from Fossil. The list price is around US$79.99.
This is perhaps one of the most innovative (yet imcomplete) inventions since the watch (time piece). Incomplete in that, it is also the most unconfortable thing to where. Not to mention very bulky. A leather (or some kind of elastic) band would have solved all of that. I returned it in one week. ...did I mention it needed a leather band. Oh yeah, LEATHER BAND PLEASE.

Fossil Abacus AU5008 Wrist PDA with Palm OS - Limited Edition Orange Croco from Fossil.
Before I bought this, I'd read in many places that the watch is big. I mean, sure, it has some mass, but it's not huge. This watch is slightly larger than Fossil's Big Tic line of men's watches. The display is nice in darkened rooms with the backlight enabled, and in well-lit rooms, it's very readable. Sometimes, dimly lit rooms will leave it unreadable. The JotGraffiti 2 text input system has been hard for me to get used to, possibly because I'm rather skilled with the original Graffiti. The stylus is both a clever and a marginal solution. I'd suggest either avoiding text input or carrying a full-size pen/stylus combo. Larger styli aren't crowded by the tiny screen. The band is plastic with rather thick leather inlays. The design is such that the band may be hard to replace in the future, but it's very thick and durable, so you're not likely to need a replacement in the near future. I wish there was a hotsync button on the cable, as navigating to the hotsync app can be bothersome.

I use mine to c...

Fossil FX2008 Wrist PDA with Palm OS from Fossil. The list price is around US$79.99.
Most PDAs are easier to forget, loose, or break than this unit appears to be. That is why I was willing to pay for a Fossil FX2008 Wrist PDA. Sure, I could buy a Palm OS PDA with more and newer features. What good would it do if I forget it at home or broke it in my pocket?

If you do not like the stylus in the watch band, you can buy a combination pen/stylus. That is what I did and it works for me. Then you still have the stylus in the band for emergency.

Someone inventive could put the body in a hard case and turn it into a pocket watch/PDA. I know of no other Palm OS PDA that is as small in diameter.

I am never without my watch, so now I am never without a PDA.

Fossil Wrist Net Smart Watch for MSN Direct (AU4003), was released on 2004-12-01 from Fossil. The list price is around US$129.99.
I have owned about 4 now, got it for Christmas. Fossil keeps replacing them. They just all stop working, at all, wont turn on. This last time, they sent me a shipping envelope, I sent it back, they lost track that my case even existed! After convincing them that they really did have my watch, the agreed to replace the watch. It never showed up, I called, they said they were out of the black strap, but would go to the warehouse and get one by hand. Never showed up, called again, then they shipped it. They even gave me the latest model, but, it arrived dead, will not turn on. I'm calling them today.

MSN said after I get my watch back, they would credit my down time. The person there agreed that Fossil watches are very problematic.

I wish MSN would put some pressure on them to make their products reliable. I'm paying them for the data service.

I guess the technology is not really there yet with this product, or Fossil can't make this watch actually work.

Suunto n3 Smart Watch from Suunto. The list price is around US$199.99.
I've had my Suunto for about 2 months, and I really like it.

Pros:
-Battery lasts a long time, probably can go 7-10 days without a recharge. When traveling, can recharge from your laptop with a USB port as long as you have the cable.
-Love having Outlook pushed to my watch, don't have to whip out the PDA to see where I need to be next. The watch will count down the amount of time to your next appointment (or how late you are!).
-Correct time as long as you're in the MSN direct service area.
-Sports content is betting better, given the late start time for NBA playoffs, I can pop out of bed in the AM and check out the scores and the box scores.
-Excellent customer support from MSNdirect. I've e-mailed tech support and always gotten a response - one that works - within a couple of hours.

Cons:
-Will MSN direct survive or will you be left with a $300 watch that functions like a $20 watch?
-Some features a little buggy - I've had to reset the watch to receive content and correct time...

Fossil Wrist Net Smart Watch for MSN Direct (FX3002) Dick Tracy from Fossil. The list price is around US$89.99.
I got the Dick Tracey version of the watch a week ago. As the other reviewers pointed out it is little bulky. But well, the bulkiness is kinda coolness factor too. The news, stock, weather updates are cool, but the outlook calendar reminders is the killer app. I dont need to write down in which room my next meeting is, even if I forget my pocket PC /PDA. I agree the price is little steep, but I got it through the msft employee discount, so it isn't bad for me, considering that its a Fossil watch.

Fossil Wrist Net Smart Watch for MSN Direct (AU4000) from Fossil. The list price is around US$69.99.
The watch set-up seemed to take too long. It didn't get the signals, etc. but finally began working. It worked fine for about a month. Then after taking off a jacket that occasionally generates static, the watch stopped working. It had a blank screen. That's when I found out the hard way that static drives it crazy. I waited, hoping the watch would cure itself. It didn't. I tried to charge it. It didn't help. I read that some people take out the battery to reset it. After a few months of having a blank screen I opened the watch. Messing with the battery looked like too much of a job. So, I closed up the watch and put it on the charger. Nothing, again. I stick the watch in a drawer for a couple months. I put it on the charger. Nothing. I put in the drawer for another few months. I notice from my credit card bill that I am now getting charged $10 a month for the "service." Before cancelling the service. It put the watch on the charger and amazingly enough it started charging. The first charge ...
