Apple 30 GB iPod Photo from HP from Hewlett Packard. The list price is around US$349.99.
If there were more than 5 stars, I would give it a higher mark. This unit is awesome, music sounds great. I don't have a complaint in the world on this ipod. Amazon has a good price on this compare to other places I checked. I've had a number of people check out my ipod and they all say this is nice.

Archos AV400 20 GB Video Player/Recorder and MP3 Player AV420 from Archos. The list price is around US$399.95.
I think that this is a very good device. It preforms great at all of its advertized functions. Its screen is amazing. at 3.5 inches you and up to two other people can watch at the same time. At the moment i have 20 hours of video on it and 4 gigabytes of music and it still has about 2 more gigabytes of memory left. The battery life is prett good. I get about 10 hours with music and about 4 hours with video. I get about 6-8 hours wiht mixed use There are only a few things that i can find thats wrong wiht it, One that you cannot transfer dvds over to the archos wiht your computer. Also it is sometimes slow to open files. This is normal though for a device with this many features. All in all i think this is a very good device. It has all the features a person into media and photography would want, including a compact flash slot which comes in handy alot, but this device does have its short commings. If you want the newest stuff i would opt for the new Av500 series.

Archos Gmini402 20 GB Pocket Multimedia Center from Archos. The list price is around US$249.99.
After searching around and looking at other reviews of this product I decided it would be an excellent media player. I purchase the product and was very pleased with how the product functioned. After 8 days of casual use the product would not start up past the Archos welcome screen. After 3 attempts at getting the RMA department to get my address information correct for a RMA, I then sent the product in early Jan 2006. After a week I received an email from the service department to notify me that the repair would cost $80 without a proof of purchase (PoP) within a year that it was received my their department. No problem since the product broke after a week of use, so it was well within Archos 1 yr warranty. I first attempted to send the PoP by email to the department without any luck. I then faxed the PoP to the RMA department on four separate dates. Each time I called the RMA department the status of my RMA was still "Waiting on PoP." I was told many times that RMA department manager was looking i...

Apple AirPort Express with Air Tunes (M9470LL/A), was released on 2004-07-24 from Apple Computer. The list price is around US$129.99.
Woah! No point purchasing the AirPort Express from Amazon... you can buy it directly from Apple for only $99.00 with free shipping. Oh, by the way - this thing is excellent for streaming your iTunes music wirelessly anywhere in your house!

Creative Labs NOMAD 60 GB Jukebox Zen USB 2.0 MP3 Player from Creative Labs.
This player is an overall disappointment with a couple of big flaws that potential buyers should be wary of; and all readers need to know about a third party software company that resolves virtually all of the Creative MediaSource file transfer issues. Zen Good points: 1. I achieved my basic objective; my entire CD collection is on a portable device with lots of room to store more. 2. Most MP3 players have a gap between the end of one track and the start of the next; it's annoying in music that is intended to be continuous. The Zen has minimal stoppage between tracks; when listening to music that continues from one track to the next the gap is just a hesitation - a slightly audible click; if I am not listening for the progress from one track to the next I don't even notice the click. Flaws: 1. Creative MediaSource software is OK to rip, catalog & burn music if you are starting from scratch; but I used MusicMatch to rip my CDs before I bought the Zen (272 CDs; 3,350 tracks; 12Gb of music all ripped ...

SmartDisk FlashTrax XT 80GB Digital Multimedia Player, FTXXT80 from SmartDisk. The list price is around US$499.99.
I just got my Flash Trax XT today and was shocked to discover that it won't read Sony Memory Sticks. I tried to see if they have an adapter so that the reader will read my memory sticks but none is available. I can't understand why it does not support one of the most widely used memory cards in the world. Or at the very least have and adapter at a reasonable price that I can buy. Why was the fact that memory sticks don't work in this device not made clear in the buying information. The player looks like it is a very nice unit but I'll never know..........
