I originaly bought the 360 when it first came out and like many other people out their, I had issues and returned it and got a new one. Then about 3 days later the 360 gave me more problems. I was very upset and took the 360 back with full refund saying I will just wait for the PS3. But for those 3 days of playing the 360, I did think the system itself was awsome, the exprience I had with Xbox Live was amazing. So about 6 months later my xbox was just not cutting it and I felt maybe the 360 issues would be fixed so I went and purched the 360 agian, because I couldnt wait for the PS3. Great for the semi-professional parent with a baby or toddler. Love the crisp pictures it takes and I have a digital I also use but I've always held film in a special place since being my college editor back in the late 80's and early 90's before digital was the boom. Both lens are terrific and I am very pleased with the camera's performance.

I had a Ricoh 35mm for about 12 years (I loved that camera - I took it everywhere). It finally just broke. I needed a new camera - after many hours of research we decided to buy a canon. We bought the 85 and the 120. We took identical pictures with both cameras. The 85 had red eye problems even when the red-eye function was on. The 120 has similar but fewer red-eye problems. The color and crispness was beautiful. However, the red-eye simply ruins the photos. I never used the red-eye function on my Ricoh - and when reviewing my last few hundred photos - I noticed that I never had red-eye. I'm so dissapointed that Ricoh no longer sells the 35mm. I returned both cameras. I am now stuck with no camera. Do not buy a canon buy this camera!

I have experienced the dreaded "flashing H" problem about 7 times (based on my usage of this camera this translate into a dissapointing 15% failure rate!!). What happens is that after inserting new film it goes to the unwind phase and then the H flashes on the LED display. I have been able to fix the problem a couple of time by fiddling with the battery (shoving it in and out a couple of times). Otherwise the whole role of film is wasted. This is a very serious problem. The camera failed on several occasions where I really need to get pictures. Ever since this happened, I always carry back up disposable camera. This shouldnt be necessary when you buy a camera (Its really a big joke!)

I had been using digital cameras for about four years (including my current Canon Digital Rebel) before deciding to attend a photo class at a junior college to improve my skills. The class needed a film camera, so I got the least expensive film SLR that Canon makes, which is this Rebel GII. Although it's pretty simplistic, it's more than enough for both students and shutterbugs.

The camera is very light and small. Most importantly, it accepts all Canon EF lenses, which is great. If you are a student and you're wondering whether to buy the camera body only or the camera with a kit lens, I would recommend you get the body only and get a different lens. For my photography classes, all you needed was a 50mm ("normal") lens, and Canon sells an extremely inexpensive but excellent lens, the 50mm f1.8 mkII, for about $75. Since the grad position is only adjustable in a circular motion verses an up and down motion it makes this filter virtually unusable as the pattern's darkness cannot be adjusted.

I still believe in the quality of Canon cameras but after using this one for a few months, it's been increasingly difficult to get it to take pictures. When I press the button for it to take, it often does not actually take the picture and must be pressed repeatedly for it to take. I thought perhaps this was just a problem with my camera but my friend has a PowerShot A200 and complains of the same problem. This presents a frustrating problem because I cannot ask other people to take pictures for me as they do not necessarily know how to "coerce" the camera. The other problem I've encountered is that you can't change the manual/automatic settings without turning on the LCD. This causes an enormous drain on the battery. The settings are also difficult to find if you don't have your user's manual at hand.

Other than these problems, this is a great little digital camera at a good price. The pictures I have taken successfully with this camera have all turned out good and clear.
