Anitec Power Supply ProblemSubmitted by zen on 20 August, 2006 - 11:32.
The Sonata II case is guiet and practical, but the quality is so so. That's the conlusion I got about a week ago when my Anitec True Power Supply finally died. I search through the net, it doesn't seem to be an isolated incident. Many people shared my experience. The power supply work ed for a while , like a year or two and then it died. Even the no name generic power supply last longer than that. The problem may be related to the capacitors. Many of those "Made in China" capacitors have quality problem. So there are some power supply manufacturer try to use the "Japanese capactors". I bought a new power supply, Seasonic HS500. Unfortunately, it's the older version still using the Chinese capacitors. The problem for them is they don't die right away, they die slowly, but surely... Well, the good news is, changing the power supply is much easier than I thought... zen's blog | login or register to post comments | latest article | « EMACHINES: eMachi... | About quiet »
